Born and raised in Baden Württemberg near Pforzheim, he completed his acting training in Munich and Los Angeles. He had his first role 20 years ago as Hannelore Elsner’s son in DIE KOMMISSARIN.
Since then, he has appeared in many national and international productions such as DAS BOOT (director: Hans Steinbichler), WIRECARD (director: Reymond Ley) and FURIA (director: Lars Kraume), to name but a few.
His first international role was in the US production CHILDREN OF WAX, followed by UNKNOWN IDENTITY Liam Neeson and A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING, in which he played Tom Hanks‘ father at a young age, directed by Tom Tykwer.
Michael Baral can be seen in THE BENDS (directed by Mike Barker) and in the TV series CONSTELLATION (directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel).
