Levi Tounkara was born in 2003 and grew up in Speyer, Germany. His passion for acting began at an early age after discovering the behind-the-scenes documentaries of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, which sparked his fascination with filmmaking.
He is completing his acting training at the Academy of Performing Arts Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg, graduating in 2026. Alongside his studies, he has appeared in several short films. In 2024, he received the Baden-Württemberg Youth Film Award for Best Acting Performance for his leading role in the short film Maskerade.
Levi began acting in children’s and youth theatre before performing in musical productions including Fame, The Three Musketeers and The Blues Brothers at the Pfalzbau Ludwigshafen and the Hessian State Theatre Wiesbaden. In 2026, he appeared as a guest actor in The Doctor, directed by Maik Priebe at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, and made his solo stage debut in Novecento at the Ludwigsburg Theatre Summer Festival.
