Joscha Baltha, born in Regensburg in 1997, appeared in several productions at the local municipal theater before studying acting at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich. In 2017, he played in TRÜFFEL, TRÜFFEL. TRÜFFEL (director: Felix Rothenhäusler) at the Münchner Kammerspiele, which earned him a nomination for Young Actor of the Year from the trade journal Theater Heute. From the 2020/21 to 2022/23 season, Joscha Baltha was a member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus. Projects have taken him to the Volksbühne am Rosa Luxemburg Platz and the Volkstheater Wien.
In 2019, Joscha Baltha played Thomas Mann in Hannu Salonen’s mini-series OKTOBERFEST. In addition to streaming and television roles, he has appeared in the feature films BAD DIRECTOR by Oskar Roehler, DIE AKDEMIE by Camilla Guttner, alongside Jean-Marc Barr and Maja Bons and in Timo Jacob’s TOD MEINER JUGEND.
