Born in 1992, he was hired by the Münchner Kammerspiele in 2015 directly after completing his training at the Otto Falckenberg School. Trained in classical singing, the drama student met Dimiter Gotscheff during his studies for a work on „Zement“, which was invited to the 2014 Berlin Theatertreffen. At the Münchner Kammerspiele, he developed his own artistic signature until 2023 with Toshiki Okada, Stefan Pucher, Alexander Giesche, Trajal Harall, Susanne Kennedy, Luis Krawen, Felix Rothenhäusler, Yana Thönnes and others. Thomas Hauser acts, turns, sings, plays the flute, reads, reads aloud, does kung fu, has been touring Europe as Alan Turing in the world premiere of the opera of the same name by composer Pierre Jodlowski since 2015 (libretto by Frankfurt Book Prize winner Frank Witzel) and leaves the choice of pronouns up to his counterpart.
From the 2024/2025 season, he will be a permanent ensemble member at the Residenztheater.
He has also gained a lot of experience in front of the camera – Thomas played the lead role in short films at the HFF Munich, a father in search of meaning, which recently won an award at the Munich Film Festival. In 2024, he will be shooting TATORT KÖLN and will be in front of the camera for the feature film UNTERWEGS IM NAMEN DER KAISERIN.
