PORTFOLIO

Born in 1994 and raised in Rastatt, Baden-Württemberg, Jannik Hinsch went to Leipzig to study at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater.

His path was clear early on: in 2008, he joined the U22 drama club at Theater Baden-Baden, with which he was invited to the Theatertreffen der Jugend at the Berliner Festspiele in 2010 with the production ZU SCHÖN FÜR DIESE WELT. In the following years, he performed in many other productions. In 2011, he received a two-year scholarship at the Proskenion Foundation’s Youth Academy for the Performing Arts.

He has taken on many major roles at the Staatsschauspiel Dresden and has just been awarded the Erich Ponto Prize. The Staatsschauspiel Dresden honored the enormous acting development, as it says in the explanatory statement, which has inspired the jury and audience with its expressive play in a wide variety of roles.

In film and television, he was seen in WER WIR SIND and TAMARA.

In addition to acting, the 28-year-old has a second great passion: music. He doesn’t just sing, he sings like a god. „Jannik doesn’t boil, Jannik burns,“ was the title of his speech at the Erich Ponto Award.
