Dara Lalo came to Germany from Rojava/Syria in December 2016 and began his acting studies at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in 2020.
Dara Lalo has taken part in several film projects, including “Killing Bagheera” by Moshref Sheikh Zeyn. He received the Special Mention for Best Leading Actor at SPICYIFF23 for his role in the film and was nominated for Best Leading Actor at the Watersprite Film Festival in Cambridge. The film was presented as part of German Films at the Cannes Film Festival. In the film “+963” by Daood Abdullah, he was awarded Best Leading Actor at the Underdog Festival in Wolfsburg.
At the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival, the film “Salty Tongues” starring Dara Lalo was nominated for the award for best medium-length film. He can also be seen in the leading role in the science fiction film “Toxygen”, which will be in cinemas from 2026.
