Aziz Çapkurt is a Munich-based actor. He started his acting career in theater in 2002. In 2014, he began acting in films. He received the “Best Supporting Actor” award at the Antalya International Film Festival for his role in Song of My Mother. He moved to Germany in 2017. Since then, he has worked on numerous acclaimed and international projects in countries such as the USA, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Iran, and Morocco. He also collaborated with actors such as Eva Green, Jason Clarke, Helen Mirren, and Lars Eidinger.
In 2019, he starred in the Sundance-winning short film Green, directed by Suzanne Andreas Correa. Later, he acted in the Apple TV+ sci-fi series Invasion, which was directed by Emmy-winning director Jamie Payne and produced by Simon Kinberg (The Martian). Then, he starred in the Disney+ series Escape.
Recently, he played in the Hollywood movie Dirty Angels starring Eva Green and directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale). Aziz Çapkurt has also appeared in numerous German films such as Ayşe Polat’s Lola Award-winning film Im Toten Winkel, Matthias Glasner’s Informant, and Ilker Catak’s Yellow Letters. He is currently working on Maria Sodahl’s new project.
