Nadeshda’s career began with the leading role of Tina in the popular hit MANTA, THE FILM (1991). She shot her second film LE DOIGT DE DIEU“ immediately afterwards in Paris.
The list of films she has made since then is impressively long, and here is a small selection:
She was an investigator in DIE STRASSEN VON BERLIN; played in the political thriller DAS PHANTOM in KANAK ATTACK TATTOO and ANTIKÖRPER. She was awarded the Grimme Prize for best actress for DAS PHANTOM.She appeared in Christian Petzold’s directorial debut PILOTINNEN and played the lead role „Jenny“ in Dominik Graf’s HOTTE IM PARADIES.
In 2013, Nadeshda Brennicke played Germany’s first female bank robber, Gisela Werler, in the feature film BANKLADY. She has won several international awards for her performance, including Best Actress at the Chicago International Film Festival.
She is at home in both comedies and dramas and impresses with her capricious, playful, resolute and humorous acting. She showed her comedic talent in Detlev Buck’s „TATORT – ALLES KOMMT ZURÜCK“ and in the WENDY films she proved not only her acting skills but also her riding talent.
In Sky’s action series DRIFT- PARTNERS IN CRIME, she shows no mercy as a desperate mother.
Most recently, she was back in front of the camera for Lars Becker and is currently filming under the direction of David Schalko.
